Snow and weather didn’t allow our 2024 Rainbow Rippers to complete their programme, so we are making good and only running sessions for last year’s group of Rippers.
Once the mountain is open top to bottom, we’ll look at offering entry to new crew members.

It’s a ski only programme for kids aged between 7 and 12, with the aim of building skills, exploring the mountain, having fun, and making friends amongst our amazing Rainbow ski community. The programme consists of four half-day Sunday sessions.
Dates: 2025 to be announced.
Rainbow Rippers can be impacted by weather and snow conditions. To get four sessions delivered in the best possible conditions, we have allowed for six weekends in case the field is closed / conditions aren’t ideal. We’ll give you a heads up a few days out and confirm the evening before if a session is not going to go ahead.
Time: 9:20am to 1:30pm
Meeting place: At the clock / skifield map in front of rentals at 9:20am.
What to bring: Please be ready to ski with plenty of warm clothing, your helmet, a named water bottle, a snack, and your lift pass.
$350 for 4 sessions.
Your child MUST have a Youth lift pass for the day – this is not included in the cost
Rainbow Rippers branded T shirt $35 (optional) – please advise on size when making payment for this separately.
Finish up with a shared family BBQ on the final Sunday at the Robert Lodge.
Helmets are required for all participants
Rainbow Rippers sessions are non-refundable

No, but with the Academy not running in 2025, we are lucky to have four club members (who are also instructors) offer to run a similar programme.
No, we will assess each skier and place them in appropriate group on the first Sunday. Some adjustment of the groups may be required. Note your child must be able to ride the T-Bar to participate.
Sorry, at this stage we don’t have a snowboard instructor / group.
No, we don’t have a race training group.
For Rainbow Rippers we plan to have four groups with a maximum of five skiers in each group (to a maximum of 20 people).
Sessions are planned to run on four Sundays. If the weather is against us, we will postpone until the following week. We’ll check the weather forecast a few days out and advise tentatively if we will run Rainbow Rippers by posting on the Rainbow Facebook page. We’ll also email you. Please be sure to check each morning before you leave for Rainbow to be sure that the ski area is open. Often an overnight weather event can close the mountain with little notice. Confirmation will be part of the Sunday morning snow report.
