Ski Area Info

Rainbow is a fantastic family ski area set in a stunning location adjacent to Nelson Lakes National Park. Run and maintained by the Rainbow Sports Club, you don’t need to be a member to ski here, everyone is welcome, we’d love to see you. The wide uncrowded slopes and well groomed trails provide superb terrain for beginners and intermediates while advanced skiers can challenge themselves in the high powder runs and chutes. Snowboarders love the varied terrain, jumps, bumps and drops. A terrain park has been developed, offering more thrills & spills for adventurous boarders and skiers.

Non-Skiers WElcome

Enjoy the beauty of our mountain without the skis! We invite you to experience the snow and stunning scenery. To help us maintain our road and facilities for everyone to enjoy in the future, we kindly ask our non-skiing visitors for a suggested donation of $10 per adult and $5 per child.

As a club-run operation, we face rising costs, your contribution will help us continue to provide a wonderful mountain experience for years to come. You can stop by the ticket window to make the suggested donation.
