Rainbow's Snowsports team is ready to help you improve your skiing or snowboarding skills, seven days a week throughout the season!
Whether you are new to the slopes, or have been skiing or riding for a while, our team of qualified instructors can take you to the next level.
Our team of certified snowboard and ski instructors hails from New Zealand and around the world and hold instructing certifications from the NZ Ski Instructors Alliance and associated international instructors organisations.
What to Expect
Rainbow offers group lessons, private lessons, and coaching programmes to cater for all levels of skier or snowboarder from novice to expert.
When you sign up for a group lesson you will be assessed and assigned to a group with other skiers/riders of similar ability to you.
Private lessons are tailor made to you and we can teach specifically to you are your needs and wants.
Rainbow's Snowsports Academy is our seasonal programme which caters for all young skiers and snowboarders and gives the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence over the season.

Group lesson times are 10am, 12:15 and 2:15pm.
Private lessons will be scheduled on availability, between 9am and 3pm.
Please note: During week days (Mon-Fri) our instructors may be busy teaching school groups, it's advisable to book private lessons in advance. Group lessons are 1 hour 45 minutes long, and private lesson's range from ½ hour to 3 hours.
How to Book
You can pre book private lessons via email or phone with our customer services team. For the private lesson booking form, click here. Completed private lesson booking forms may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note your private lesson is only booked once you have received an email from customer services confirming your scheduled lesson time.
Group lessons can be purchased on the day from Customer Services.
What to Bring
Once you have booked your lesson you will need to turn up with your ski or snowboard gear on and ready to go.
Skiers - You will need properly fitting ski boots, skis, poles, warm clothes, sun glasses or goggles, and sunblock.
Snowboarders - You will need properly fitting snowboard boots, snowboard, warm clothes, sun glasses or goggles, and sunblock. (We highly recommend that snowboarders wear a wrist guard)
We highly recommend that both skiers and snowboarders consider wearing a snow-sports helmet during their lessons (and preferably at all times).
